Description
Both Diesel and Mavis made it to the fuel depot. Mavis quickly removed the break van off Diesel’s train, while Diesel himself shunted the tankers into the loading siding.
“Toot, toot. The fuel is here.” Tooted the class 08.
The workmen saw that the tankers were unmarked, but just assumed that the original tankers had broken or something. They quickly loaded all the content of the tankers into the depot, then distributed it around the island. Mavis looked over at Diesel.
“I think it’s working.” She whispered.
“I think your right.” Diesel replied in a quiet voice. “We may have lost one battle, but we haven't lost the war. I'm not going to let this railway down like I did in 1958! I will complete my mission successfully and get all our friends back or blow up trying.”
“You've done so well since you saved Gordon on the Yule Tide Express. We're all proud of you.” Mavis smiled.
When the tankers were completely empty, Diesel took them back to the yards and Mavis took the break van back as well.
“Well, I’ll tell Geoff that this has been done.” She said when the break van was back in it’s siding, and winking at Diesel.
Diesel winked back at her.
“Of course. You do that.”
With that, Diesel watched her go. He knew it was quite late in the day, and would have to wait for tomorrow for the plan to take effect.

Heh, this one was a bit of fun. In one of the S18 episodes of Thomas And Friends, we saw a bit of Diesel and Mavis interaction. But, Diesel was still in his devious ways and I didn't particularly find it interesting. Here, Diesel and Mavis do get along much better, and I would like to see if I can find a bit more of this in fan work.
