Class 08s

Who knew there were so many of these in the Thomas world?

As you can tell, of these 08s, only three have made it on Sodor: Diesel/Capulet (Main yards shunter), Sidney (shunter at Alusbrugh) and Paxton (Shunter at Ffarquar). Splatter and Dodge reside on a heritage railway, and Arry and Bart are owned by an ironworks manager at Barrow.

I haven't worked out how the 08s all interact, but I do know how Diesel interacts with his brothers.

- With Splatter and Dodge, Diesel doesn't know them that well, but he has seen them enough to know they are misguided by D810. With persuasion, he believes they can change sides.

- Sidney, well, Diesel is annoyed by him when he forgets certain things (like, shunting the coaches to the wrong platforms). But otherwise, he knows Sidney tries hard and wants to be friends with anyone he can.

- Paxton is like the 'baby' of the family, so to speak, and Diesel can be a bit protective of him. And, Diesel also admires how Paxton can make friends so easily, due to his gentle and kind nature, although naive sometimes.

- And Arry and Bart, well, Diesel used to get along with them... Until he realised that they relish in the thought of steam engines being scrapped. Now, Diesel outright hates them, and disowned them from his family. However, Arry and Bart didn't realise this until he rescued Duck and Chichester from the Barrow Scarp shed (in my rewrite of 'Stepney Gets Lost').
