Arrangements Made.

Narrator: Next day, the main 7 drivers and Madison gathered at Miss Raven's house in Kirk Ronan, looking on their laptops for heritage railways for the Sodor steam engines to go to.

Mr. Thompson: Alright. Let's see. I think Thomas and Cameron will be safe on the Bluebell Railway with their fellow LB&SCR engine friends. Do you agree?

Mr. Hoskins: I have no objections. And I'm sure Robyn will be safe with her 2 siblings as well.

Mr. Hawkins: And I guess Neville will make a good fit too. He is also from the Southern Railway.

Madison Ravens: Yes, your right there now. Then we'll send Sally and Bridget along with Gordon to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. I’ve heard that one of Gordon’s LNER A4 cousins, Sir Nigel Gresley, is there.

Mr. Hawkins: Kate, Oliver, Duck and Percy will be safe on the Dean Forest Railway. They’ve got a good number of Great Western rolling stock down there, including one of Duck’s sisters and one of Oliver’s and Kate’s sisters.

Mr. Holden: Why can't we just send them all to the South Western Railway? At least our pony friends will still be able to see them.

Madison Ravens: They might not be able to take them all, Uncle William.

Miss Springfield: She's right. A railway can only take in a few engines at a time.

Miss Ravens: Come on. We've got to keep on researching. (Back to her laptop.) Oh, the Kent and East Sussex Railway has 2 of Rosie's and Porter's siblings, as well as 2 of Chichester's siblings. We can send them there.

Miss Springfield: Now, we can send Toby, Flora and Molly to the North Norfolk Railway. It's a safe place for GER engines.

Mr. Hawkins: The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway will take Topham Manor and Jackson. I’ve heard that one of each of their siblings are down there.

Miss Ravens: Harvey and Jade will go to the Foxfield Light Railway. Harvey’s brother Dubs and one of Jade’s siblings, Whiston, are down there. I’m sure they will be pleased to see them.

Miss Springfield: And we can Logan down there for good measure.

Mr. Holden: (With very great difficulty.) Rebecca, Arthur, Belle and Amelia will go to the.... Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. I’ve heard that one of Arthur’s siblings are there, as is one of Belle’s siblings and Amelia has one there too. We can send Edward, Emily and Albert to the york or the SWR. They’ll be more than happy to take them and more so the SWR. Fluttershy will be happy to work with Edward there.

Mr. Thomson: Sounds good. (Looks on his laptop.) We could send Donald, Douglas, Barry and Stratton to the Strathspey Railway. I mean, Donald's and Douglas' remaining brother is there, and Stratton is also Scottish. Barry will also enjoy their company.

Mr. Hoskins: The Severn Valley Railway has one of Jinty's siblings, one of Summer's siblings and one of Sam's siblings, we can send them there. Pug and Fergus can tag along too.

Mr. Roberts: The Wensleydale Railway has got Wilson's brother, Joem. We can send him and Scruff there. And Charlie and Billy while we are at it.

Miss Ravens: Perfect. That's everyone covered. Let's call up the railways preservation societies and make the arrangements.

Madison Ravens: Right, Auntie Rachel. I'll do it.

Narrator: Whilst Madison Ravens made the arrangements and Miss Springfield, Mr. Hawkins, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Thomson and Mr. Hoskins went to assist, Miss Ravens could see that her brother looked extremely painfully pale. Tears were streaming and his body trembled. She was worried for Mr. Holden.

Miss Ravens: (Puts a hand gently over Mr. Holden's shoulder.) Will, are you alright?

Mr. Holden: (Burying himself in her shoulder in tears.) If I'm honest, I'm not okay. I don't mean to sound selfish, I know it's hit us all very hard… but first we lose our pony friends and now we lose our engine friends. Goodness… I… I… I'm sorry. I can't take it. I've always tried to keep strong, but I'm not that confident in myself.

Narrator: He began to burst into a torrent of tears.

Miss Ravens: I understand where your coming from Will. Believe me, we are all just as upset as you are. But, this is the way it has to be in order to keep our engines safe. And besides, some of the engines will still be here. Victor's down at Crovens Gate Works; Mavis is still at the Ffarqaur Quarry; Bill, Ben and Timothy are still at the China Clay Works; Bash, Dash and Ferdinand are still working at the logging yards; Stephen and Glynn are still at Ulstead; and we are keeping 7 of the Sodor engines to run heritage tours on the mainline. And the NWR diesels and electrics will still be here too.

Mr. Holden: I understand… your right. But not only is it unfair for our engines, it’s also unfair for our pony friends.

Miss Ravens: I know, I know, but think of it this way: At least he won't hurt them.

Mr. Holden: I know, but if only we could fight for their freedom somehow.

Miss Ravens: We'll think of something. In the meantime, we have to make these last few days on Sodor for the engines that are leaving to be the best days of their lives. Ok?

Narrator: Miss Ravens hugged her brother tightly.

Mr. Holden: Your right, and when the time comes we will take action and save our railway… Hmmmm, you know, there's something familiar about this Mr. Ewell. I've heard of him before. I think I might do a little detective work tomorrow after working with our engines. Care to join in?

Narrator: Miss Ravens could see her brother was very determined to save the railway that they loved and bring back they're friends and smiled.

Miss Ravens: Alright, Will. Anything to help our friends. But, we can’t let Mr. Ewell know what we are doing and we must send the engines to their heritage railways in order to keep our cover on.

Mr. Holden: (Takes a deep breath.) Right. Of course.

Narrator: Madison and the remaining 5 drivers came running out.

Madison Ravens: We’ve made the arrangements, Auntie Rachel. Those heading to the Bluebell Railway are leaving tomorrow.

Mr. Hawkins: After the Bluebell Railway, the others will follow suit one day after the other. The North Yorkshire Moors will be next, then the Dean Forest…

Mr. Roberts: After that will be the Kent & East Sussex, followed by North Norfolk…

Mr. Thomson: Gloucestershire Warwickshire will be next, then Foxfield Light…

Mr. Hoskins: Keighley and Worth Valley will be after that, up next will be the Strathspey…

Miss Springfield: Then we will do those going to the Severn Valley, and then the Wensleydale Railway.

Miss Ravens: Got it, you guys. And Edward, Emily and Albert will be last on the South Western Railway, correct?

Mr. Hawkins: That’s right. We can also set up the Sodor Railway Trust base up at the old Vickorstown sheds.

Mr. Roberts: Workmen and work ponies have already started repairing them.

Miss Ravens: Good work guys. We’ll start to get the engines to their heritage lines tomorrow morning.

Narrator: Little did they know that Paxton and Diesel had seen the whole thing and that evening, they got all engines gathered at Tidmouth.

Rebecca: What's the lowdown guys?

Paxton: The main 7 drivers and Madison finished assigning you to different Heritage railways.

Narrator: The engines sighed sadly, but they knew that the main 7 drivers and Madison were only trying to protect them. Rosie however, tried to remain optimistic.

Rosie: Ok. We’ll get our jobs done on time and/or early tomorrow, and then we’ll be nice to Mr. Ewell. And then… uh, then… then he’ll change his mind.

Paxton: It’s too late, guys. Those going to the Bluebell; that’s Thomas, Cameron, Neville and Robyn, will be leaving Tuesday.

Porter: That’s tomorrow!

Everyone: Tomorrow?!

Thomas: But, what about Annie and Clarabel? I can’t leave them behind.

Collet: You can take them with you, Thomas. I’m sure the Bluebell Railway engines and staff won’t mind.

Summer: What about the rest of us?

Diesel: Well, I can’t remember the exact order, Summer, but you are going with Jinty, Sam, Pug and Fergus to the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire.

Pug: Ok. I guess that will be a good place for us.

Paxton: There are other heritage railways as well. You are spilt into groups between 2-7 engines, and the drivers have made sure that the homes you are going to will be safe ones.

Kate: That’s good, I guess. But, we will all miss this place.

Diesel: Well, I have some other news for you guys. I’ve heard that Miss Ravens and Mr. Holden are going to do some detective work to bring our pony friends back and to save you.

Oliver: You think that could work?

Diesel: I know so. Besides, it seems like Miss Ravens is quite a good detective, as are you, Sally and Bridget.

Sally and Bridget: That's right. We must all wish them good luck.

BoCo: But that doesn’t mean we can’t pitch in and help where possible. Right guys?

Daisy: I’m sure they would appreciate it, sweetie. We shall all do it, together.

Narrator: And with that, every engine had to be content.
The drivers manage to find homes for the NWR engines fairly quickly, but Mr. Holden is a bit upset. Miss Ravens manages to calm him down, and the engines find out that they are to go to their new homes in a couple of days.

Oh man this is very bad. Please tell me that Mr Ewell gets his just deserts soon.
