Narrator: Dawn was just breaking over the NWR. The engines on the Little Western were waking up. However, Duck looked spooked.
Duck: No! I can’t have done anything like that. I didn’t…
Kate: Duck, what’s wrong?
Duck: Where’s Oliver? Where did he go?
Norman: Duck, slow down. He’s probably been…
Narrator: Before Norman could explain, Duck puffed away.
Douglas: Something’s really spooked the wee engine.
Donald: Ai, you’re right there Douggie. I hope he will be ok.
Narrator: Duck puffed quickly along. He found Oliver at Harwick on the last mail delivery for the Little Western.
Duck: Oliver!
Oliver: Duck, are you ok?
Duck: I need you to come with me. We need to check to see if everything is ok!
Oliver: Uh… I don’t get it. What’s going on?
Duck: Follow me.
Narrator: A confused and concerned Oliver followed Duck to Tidmouth. Gordon and Diesel were already there, as Diesel has shunted the express for Gordon.
Diesel: There you are Gordon. Ready to go.
Gordon: Thanks Diesel.
Diesel: Just doing my job.
Duck: Everything ok up… oh, Gordon’s alright. Thank goodness.
Gordon: Of course I am. What did you think happened to me?
Narrator: Then Toby rushed in just as spooked as Duck was, with Flora and Mavis following in great concern.
Toby: Oh, Gordon’s ok. That’s good.
Gordon: Toby? What’s happening?
Narrator: Toby looked over at Duck.
Toby: You aren’t out to get me, are you Duck? And Oliver’s not your spy, is he?
Duck: No, Toby. I wouldn’t ever do that. And Oliver’s not my spy. You’re not a steam engine/diesel hybrid that’s stronger and faster then Gordon, are you?
Toby: No, Duck. Of course not. Why would I be?
Diesel: Duck and Toby, what’s wrong?
Toby/Duck: I had a nightmare last night.
Toby: Wait, you did too?
Duck: Yes. I did.
Oliver: Why didn’t you say something when you were at Harwick, Duck?
Mavis: And why didn’t you say something when you were at the quarry, Toby?
Toby: Because… I thought it actually happened.
Duck: So did I.
Flora: What happened in your nightmares?
Duck: Well, to sum it up: Toby, under his name Tobias, and I, under my real name Montague and as a Class 40, were in a collision. Toby was rebuilt into a diesel/steam tram hybrid, and I was rebuilt into the same class I was built as in reality. I was left alone and was going to rust away while Toby was getting praise because he was said to be stronger and faster then he looked. I got jealous and… (Tearing up), tried to scrap him, with Oliver as my spy and the other diesels working for me. And there was a battle between diesels and steam engines, and then I was forcing Toby to be scrapped when I caught Henrietta… and…
Toby: (Also tearing up) I… pushed Montague down a cliff. Among that, Gordon jammed the points so I would go down Thomas’ branchline and have a near collision with Percy in the process, Gordon was exiled because of that, joined the dark side and he was killed. And also, Mavis died when she and I got into a fight, and Oliver was glaring at me and Henrietta when the island was so called ‘back to normal’.
Flora: Duck, Toby, you just had a fright.
Mavis: I didn’t get killed, Toby. I’m still in one piece. And I would never get into a fight with you like that.
Gordon: I didn’t get killed either, and I didn’t get exiled or nearly get you and Percy into a collision.
Oliver: And I would never act as a spy for something like that.
Flora: Not to mention that we would never get into a battle for silly reasons, or like one type of engine better then the other.
Diesel: It was just a nightmare. Nothing like that is ever going to happen to any of us.
Narrator: Duck and Toby considered what their friends said and they both relaxed.
Toby: (Sighs) Yeah. Glad that’s never going to pass.
Duck: Agreed, Toby.
Gordon: Now that’s cleared up, I suppose we had better get to work. Pip and Emma can’t do the express runs by themselves now, can they?
Diesel: I’ve got to get back to helping Jinty, Pug and Chichester in the yards.
Oliver: Come on Duck, we are needed on the Little Western.
Mavis: And Flora and Toby, if we don’t run the tramway line, no one on the island will be able to.
Narrator: With that, the engines quickly departed to work.
Duck: No! I can’t have done anything like that. I didn’t…

Recently, I watched a fanmade Thomas film that was a lot darker then I anticipated called "Tobias and the half pariah". This is basically me trying to calm myself down through a story and reminding myself that something like this would never happen in mine and atsf's series. I won't post the link because I'm too scared to watch it again. Up to this point, I thought that 'Sodor The Dark Times' was the darkest thing in the Thomas fandom, but this blows that out of the water, big time.
