Sonic 06 Last story cutscenes

Cutscene 1:

[Forest, day. Mephiles grabs the purple Chaos Emerald floating in front of him as the background turns black. He then slowly looks away.]

Cutscene 2:

[Forest, day. Sonic and Sally are strolling along.]

Sonic: Ah, nothing like an afternoon stroll with my love to unwind a bit.

Sally: Guess the fastest thing alive can slow down a little.

Sonic: Heh, well, even I need to take it easy sometimes.

Sally: (Giggles) No more Eggman for now.

Sonic: Indeed.

(Then, Mephlies springs up from the ground infront of the couple with the purple chaos emerald.

Sonic: Ugh! Not you again!

Mephiles: Hump! Give me that necklace.

Sally: You’re not having it, Mephlies! Give us that emerald you stole from us!

Mephiles: You’re not getting this either!

Sonic: (Whispers) Sal, give the necklace to me. I’ll outrun him.

Sally: (Whispers) Are you sure?

Sonic: (Whispers) Of course I am. I’m the fastest thing alive, remember?

Sally: (Hesitates for a moment, but agrees, whispers) Ok. (Hands the necklace to Sonic)

Sonic: You won’t catch me! (He speeds off.)

Mephlies: Get back here! (He heads after him.)

(When they were about halfway to a tree, Mephlies readies an energy beam, then impales Sonic in the back with it. Sally witnesses this.)

Sally: SONIC! (She starts running over.)

(Mephiles then releases the energy beam, and Sonic collapses onto the ground, dead, and covered in red scratches and bruises. Then, Mephlies takes the necklace and breaks it, releasing the flame.)

Sally: (Reaching Sonic’s side, shaking him) Sonic! Sonic! [Rolls Sonic over, revealing a large, red wound on his side] Sonic? (Cries) No. NOOOOOOOOO!

[Meanwhile, Mephiles laughs maniacally and looks up at the sky at the flames from the necklace.)

Mephiles: [Laughs] Finally, the seal is broken! At long last, I'll be able to join with you! IBLIS! Now, Chaos Emerald! It's time for the final curtain call! [Levitates the purple Chaos Emerald into the air]

Cutscene 3:

(Shadow and Rouge are on their date, as they mentioned before. The green chaos emerald is still in Rouge’s bag.)

Rouge: So, what are you planning on having today?

Shadow: I don’t know yet. How about you?

Rouge: Well…

(The emerald starts to flash a bright light.)

Shadow: Wha… what’s happening?

Rouge: I don’t know! Argh!

(They disappear)


Cutscene 4:

(Omega is heading back to G.U.N. with the yellow chaos emerald, when it starts glowing.)

Omega: Light is way too intense. What is the situation…

(He disappears too.)


Cutscene 5:

(Amy, Knuckles and Tails are walking over to Knothole, the red chaos emerald in their possession.)

Tails: I can’t wait to see Rotor, Antione, Dulcy and Aunt Bunnie again.

Amy: It’s been a while since we spoke to them.

Knuckles: I admit; it would be nice to chat with them again.

(Then, the red chaos emerald went off, and the trio were blinded by that light too.)

Amy: Tails, do you know what’s happening?

Tails: N-no, I don’t…

Knuckles: It’s going crazy…

(They disappear as well.)


Cutscene 6:

(In the future, Blaze and Silver had their blue and cyan chaos emeralds and were finishing up their lunch.)

Blaze: That was a beautiful lunch, Silver. Thanks for letting me stay a bit longer.

Silver: Anytime, Blaze.

Blaze: Well, I think I’ll be heading home now…

(Then, the blue and cyan emeralds go haywire.)

Silver: Are the emeralds responding to your thoughts to go home?

Blaze: No! Something’s wrong.

(And they disappear.)

Cutscene 7:

(All the friends and allies find themselves in a dark space with Knothole in pieces everywhere, but the groups don’t know the other has arrived.)

Tails: Wh-what is this?

Amy: Where are we? What’s going on here?

Knuckles: I don’t know. But it must be because of that light.

Silver: The chaos emeralds, have disappeared.

Amy: Silver, and Blaze?

(Amy, Tails and Knuckles turn to face the white hedgehog and purple cat.)

Blaze: What are you guys doing here? And why is the world dark and in pieces?

Knuckles: We thought you may know something.

Silver: No. We thought you may know something.

Knuckles: (Grunts) Very helpful.

Blaze: Well you weren’t helpful either.

?????: It’s all because of Solaris.

(The group turned to see Rouge standing with Shadow and Omega. The bat had been the one to speak up.)

Tails: Team Dark too?

Omega: 100% operational and functional.

Silver: Team Dark?

Rouge: It’s our team name. Not important right now.

Silver: I see.

?????: It seems we were all caught by the spatial distortion.

(All of them turn to Eggman, the last person they expected.)

Knuckles: (Turning back to the others) How did Eggman get here too?

Eggman: I personally was bought here by the white chaos emerald. You dropped it when you left my ship.

(The others didn’t have time to worry about that now.)

Amy: Well, Tails, Knuckles and I came here via the red chaos emerald.

Shadow: Rouge and I came over thanks to the green emerald.

Omega: I was brought here by the yellow one, myself.

Blaze: And Silver and I got here via the blue and cyan ones.

Tails: But that just leaves the purple one. Who came over here via that emerald?

(Rouge starts hovering in a circle to think about it, then her eyes fell on two figures near the edge of the group’s chunk of land.)

Rouge: Uh, no one’s going to like this…

(She signalled for them to come anyway, and when they saw what was instore for them, their hearts sank.)

Amy: (In shock) Sonic?!

(One by one, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Silver, Blaze and Rouge moved forward.)

Tails: (Tear stricken) N-no! Y-you guys don’t think….

Knuckles: (Horrified) SONIC!

(Tails grabbed Sonic’s hand, trying to get some response… but nothing happened.)

Tails: He… he said he would never abandon us! He said that our team wouldn’t split up, Knuckles! And now… (He cries even harder now.) WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE?!

Knuckles: Tails… (He hugs him tight, trying not to cry himself, but tears leak out of his eyes anyhow.)

Blaze: (Also trying to get a response) Sonic… why now? You were one of my first friends… please, Sonic! Get up! (She starts crying too.) I’m so sorry!

Silver: I’m sorry too, Sonic. I didn’t want this to happen… I really didn’t.

(Silver squeezes Blaze's hand, tears starting to fall from his eyes.)

(Poor Amy was so scared, she was trying hard to let tears fall out, but all she could do was shudder.)

Amy: Sonic, don’t do this to us! Get up! Run around! Anything! Please!

(Shadow meanwhile, was frustrated)

Shadow: I can't believe this!! I should have stopped Mephiles when I had the chance! He backed me into a corner, manipulated Silver and Blaze, fought me and Sonic a few times, and now THIS?!

Sally: (Who was still crying from before) Y-yes, Shadow. He has. I… I shouldn’t have handed Sonic the necklace… I’m sorry, Sonic. I really am.

Rouge: Shadow, Silver, Sally and Blaze, this isn’t any of your faults!

Silver: Then… who was it?

Omega: (Looks over at Eggman) It was the Doctor’s fault!

Eggman: Oh come on, why are you planting the blame on me?! Just because everyone’s friend/ally is dead?

Shadow: Omega’s right. You snuck into Knothole to steal Sally’s necklace, you stole the Septure of Darkness from G.U.N. and picked up the chaos emeralds. Because of all that, both the septure and the necklace broke, Sonic’s dead and it is now the end of the world! I hope you’re happy with yourself! (He signals for Omega to attack.)

(Before Omega could strike however, Rouge jumped in between her teammates [Ala Sonic Heroes].)

Rouge: Stop! I know you’re angry, but fighting about it isn’t going to bring back Big Blue... (She starts to feel tears prick her eyes too) To think he’d go out like this…

Shadow: (Now also feeling sad, squeezing Rouge’s hand for comfort) I know… (Whispers) I’m sorry, Sonic. I should have tried harder.

Eggman: (Being the only one not mourning) Mephiles has played us all for fools. His plan all along, was to break the necklace to cause the world to break apart.

(Omega prepared to attack again, when some noise was heard. None of the Mobians broke out of their stances, but a few looked up.)

Silver: It’s Solaris.

Blaze: I’ll bet he thinks this is hilarious right now.

Knuckles: Seeing us all suffer like this. Wouldn’t surprise me.

(Tails just shook his head, still crying)

Eggman: This creature will consume all existing timelines and time itself will disappear into nothingness.

Silver: We can’t let this happen!

Eggman: It won’t remain for much longer.

Knuckles: We’ve no more time to waste. We’ve got to defeat it now!

Rouge: Yes, because defeating a Sun God would be easy, Knuckie.

Knuckles: I didn’t say it was going to be easy, Rouge!

Eggman: Regardless, it is a transcendent life form that exists in the past, present and future. Defeating it here, now, would do nothing.

Silver: No, I won't give up. There has to be a way. (Looks determined) If you say it exists in the past, present and future, I'll destroy them all at once!

Shadow: Certainly, it might have been possible, (Glancing over at the lifeless Sonic, hint of sadness in his voice as he says the last bit) if he was still alive…

Amy: (Now managing to let tears out) Sonic! SONIC!

(With everyone either mourning or trying to come up with ideas, a spirit comes over to Sally.)

Sally: Huh? (Sees that the spirit is an orange echidna) Tikal…

Tikal: Sally, you and the others do have a way of saving Sonic’s life and this world. You must use the seven chaos emeralds.

Sally: Alright. But… I never worked the emeralds before. How do I…

Tikal: Your love and friendship will save him, Sally. But the others must help with their friendship too.

Sally: Alright. Thank you, Tikal.

(Tikal leaves, then Sally addresses the crowd)

Sally: Everyone! Tikal says we can save Sonic with the power of the chaos emeralds!

(That perked everyone up immediately.)

Tails: (Now finally drying tears) Aunt Sally, do you still have N.I.C.O.L.E.?

Sally: Yep. (Gets her out) N.I.C.O.L.E., locate the seven chaos emeralds.

N.I.C.O.L.E.: Searching, Sally. Emeralds, located in Crisis City, Flame Core, Tropical Jungle, Dusty Desert, Wave Ocean, White Acropolis and Kingdom Valley.

Tails: Ok. To collect them all in time, we’ll have to split up!

Amy: Right, Tails. Sally, watch over Sonic.

Sally: With my life!

Tails: Now, I’ll go to Crisis City. I can easily fly over all those tall buildings. (He takes off.)

Blaze: I’m going to Flame Core. I can jump fairly high to get over the gaps. (She runs off.)

Knuckles: I’ll take the jungle. (Glides off) Ancient ruins like that will be a cinch for me.

Silver: I’m going to Dusty Desert. I feel like I know that place well by now. (He flies away.)

Rouge: Wave Ocean for me. I can fly over the water in a flash. (She takes off, a bit slower than the others.)

Amy: White Acropolis for me. If I can get through there once, I can do it again. (Running off.)

Shadow: What?! Oh come on! Why do I get Kingdom Valley?

Rouge: Because, it’s one of the larger areas and you’re currently the fastest one of the group. Now come on, hon. Times’ wasting. (She then puts on a burst of speed and flies away)

Shadow: You got a point. (He nods at Sally and Sonic, then turns to Omega) Keep an eye on Eggman here.

Omega: Affirmative, Comrade Shadow.

(Shadow runs off.)

Sally: (Softly) It’s going to be ok, Sonic. (She carries him over to neat circle near the middle of the chunk of world.) We’ll save you. Just hold on… please…


Cutscene 8:

(One by one, everyone came in with the emeralds. Tails first.)

Tails: I found it, Aunt Sally! I found it!

Sally: Great job, sweetie.

Tails: Hang on, big brother… everyone’s coming soon.

(Blaze was next.)

Blaze: I got it.

Sally: Well done, Blaze. Stand with Tails just there.

Blaze: I hope we can do it.

Tails: I’m sure we can, Blaze. Have faith.

Blaze: You’re right, Tails.

(Knuckles glided in.)

Knuckles: Ok, got it. How’s Sonic doing?

Tails: He’s just there.

Knuckles: (Glancing over) He looks confident, even with his eyes closed.

Sally: That’s Sonic for you, Knuckles. Great job, by the way.

Silver: I’m back…. (He tripped a little.) Whoa!

Blaze: (Helps Silver up) Heh, careful, sweetheart. (Blushing, shyly) I mean… Silver. (Thinking) Oh dear, what a mess…

Silver: (Blushing) Th-thanks Blaze. (Normal) Sally, I found my emerald too.

Sally: Great work, Silver.

Tails: Four down, three to go.

Knuckles: I hope the others get here quickly…

Blaze: Rouge is coming now!

(Rouge swoops in.)

Rouge: I found my chaos emerald, and I wasn’t last back either.

Knuckles: Well, I was back before you were.

Rouge: Well, I might have let you win this time, Knuckie.

Knuckles: What does that mean, Rouge?!

Rouge: I’m just saying you got lucky.

Amy: (Walks in) I’m back with my emerald! Once Sonic’s alive, he will be so grateful for the efforts of Amy Rose.

Blaze: Hey, we all helped.

Amy: Yeah… fair point, Blaze.

Silver: Is she always like this?

Blaze/Rouge/Sally/Knuckles/Tails: Sometimes…

Rouge: Especially if Sonic’s involved.

Amy: Hey, do you guys want to save Sonic and this world or what?

Blaze: We have to wait for Shadow first.

Shadow: (Walking in) I’m here. (He absentmindedly spins the red emerald round on his finger.)

Tails: Haven’t you complained about Sonic doing that previously?

Shadow: Uh… (He lets the emerald fall in his hand.) I guess I did… Anyway, let’s get started now.

(The others didn’t waste anymore time)

Tails: (Placing his emerald down) The servers are the seven Chaos.

(Blaze places her emerald down after Tails.)

Knuckles: (Placing his emerald down) Chaos is power,

(Silver places his emerald down after Knuckles.)

Rouge: (Placing her emerald down) Power is enriched by the heart.

Amy: (Placing her emerald down) The heart is the controller.

Shadow: (Placing his emerald down.) The controller serves to unify the chaos.

(The group nod at Sally, then closed their eyes, thinking about all the times they had spent with Sonic, and how important he was to them.)

Sally: (Whispers) Here we go. (Outloud) Oh Chaos Emeralds, gems of miracles. Please heed my call. [Chaos Emeralds start glowing brighter] I wish to save this world. I wish to cleanse my father's sin. And, I wish to talk to Sonic... once again! [The Chaos Emeralds and still lifeless Sonic start levitating into the air.] You have given me so many things. Now it is my time to return the favor. I care not what happens to me. But please heed my voice. Sonic, come back! To me... To us… to this world…!

(Sally kisses Sonic and a bright light whites out the screen. When the light dies down, Sonic stands before everyone, revived as Super Sonic. Tails and Amy rush to Sonic, hugging him.)

Super Sonic: Holy rings! Where am I? Why is it so dark? And… since when did I turn to Super Sonic? (Then, he realises it. Thinking) I DIED! And… my friends brought me back…

Tails: (Tears of joy) Sonic! Oh thank goodness you’re alright!

Super Sonic: I never break a promise little bro. I’m alive now.

Amy: (Also with tears of joy) Oh, Sonic, I thought I’d never see you smile again!

Super Sonic: I’m alright now, Amy. Now, both of you. Dry those tears. You know I don’t like others crying.

Amy: (Attempting to do so.) R-Right.

(Now it was Blaze’s turn to hug Sonic)

Blaze: I’m so glad to see you alive, Sonic. It felt like you were gone forever.

Super Sonic: Well, you don’t have to worry about me right now, Blaze. It’s ok.

Knuckles: Sonic, great to have you back, buddy.

Super Sonic: Good to see you as well, Knuckster. (He gives him a highfive)

Silver: Whoa, Sonic! How’d you go golden and your eyes go red? That looks so cool!

Super Sonic: (Chuckling) Well, Silver, this is what happens when you go Super. Has Blaze not enlightened you about this yet?

Silver: (Looking embarrassed) Oh… that’s what a super transformation is. Sorry, Sonic, Blaze, I didn’t realise.

Super Sonic: It’s ok, Silver.

Blaze: First time for everything.

Rouge: I’ll say. It’s a relief to know you’re ok, Big Blue.

Super Sonic: Thanks, Rouge… but I don’t think you can call me Big Blue at the moment.

Rouge: (Chuckling) Fair point, Sonic. Just a force of habit I guess.

(Shadow just stares up at Sonic)

Super Sonic: Missed me too, Shads?

Shadow: Hump! You should be grateful I went through Kingdom Valley to get that last emerald.

Super Sonic: And still grumpy at times I see. Anyways, yes, I am grateful for what you guys have done.

Shadow: Though, I do apologise for not taking Mephlies down properly before…

Super Sonic: Hey, no one’s perfect. You did your best. That’s all I ask.

Shadow: Thanks, Sonic.

Eggman: Too bad he isn’t just Mephiles anymore! He’s fused with Iblis to become Solaris, the Sun God.

Super Sonic: Eggman?! How did you get in here?

Eggman: You ask that about me and not your friends, obviously?! Ugh! Well, Solaris is tearing apart time as we speak, and the only reason we brought you back was because we needed you to take him down.

Sally/Blaze/Amy/Rouge/Shadow/Knuckles/Tails/Silver: (In unison) LIES!

Eggman: Fine! They brought you back because they are actually your friends and allies… can’t see why though.

Super Sonic: You’ll never understand…

Omega: Well, Sonic, while this is predominately true, the one who revived you was actually Sally over there.

Super Sonic: (Smiling brightly at her, giving her a romantic hug.) Thank you, Sally.

Sally: I didn’t think you were going to come over here.

Super Sonic: Moi? Not thank his own girlfriend for helping save his life? Out of the question.

Sally: Heh, I always liked that about you, Sonic.

(They passionately kiss.)

Amy: I… I guess Sally is the one for Sonic’s heart. And I’m going to support that to the end.

Rouge: Glad to see you saw the light.

Shadow: Hmm… where have I heard that before?

(Silver and Blaze shrug.)

Eggman: Ok, sappy stuff’s over. Get on with it.


Sally/Blaze/Amy/Rouge/Shadow/Knuckles/Tails/Silver/Super Sonic: (In unison) Mood killer!

(Shadow and Silver walk over to Super Sonic regardless, Silver very nervously)

Silver: Uh… how do you go Super?

Shadow: Oh yeah… this is your first time, isn’t it?

Silver: (Nods shyly) Y-Yes Shadow.

Super Sonic: Don’t be nervous, it’s not that hard. Just, be one with the Chaos Energy and have no doubt in your mind you can do this.

Silver: Ok. I’m ready.

(Super Sonic lends some of his power to the other two hedgehogs, who start transforming. Shadow is used to this, but Silver is quaking with this new feeling. Once all three hedgehogs transform, they start floating in the air.)

Super Sonic: So, how does it feel?

Super Silver: It feels similar to when I’m floating around with my psychokinesis… only more powerful. I think I can do this.

Super Shadow: Great. Now, let’s get this battle over with.

(Super Sonic and Super Silver shake their heads playfully and head up with Super Shadow to battle, while everyone else watches from below.)


Cutscene 9:

[End of the World. Solaris' light orb is giving off bursts of light and everyone is celebrating their victory as the Super Hedgehogs float back to the ground and turn back to normal.]

Rouge: Well done, Shadow. (She hugs him)

Shadow: (Blushing hard) Oh… Rouge, not infront of everyone!

Sally: Great job, Sonic! (She hugs him too.)

Sonic: (Chuckling) Oh, Sal.

Blaze: You did great Silver, you’re first time too. (She kisses him.)

Silver: (Blushing) Awww…. Well, it’s nothing.

[As a bright light envelopes everything, a white flame is formed in a black void.]

Sonic: Everyone, look!

Amy: Is that…

Sally: That is the true Solaris. (She gets a now restored necklace out.) We just need a chaos emerald.

Shadow: I managed to save one before they all separated. (He hands the emerald to her)

Sally: Thanks, Shadow. (She holds it and chants) Eternal Sun! The Living Flame that has been entrusted to the royal family! Fall into this necklace and never come out!

(And the flame goes back into the necklace and the world goes back to normal.)

Cutscene 10:

Sally: Ok, guys. From this day forth, this necklace is going in a safe!

Knuckles: Best idea yet, Sally.

Silver: Now that the world’s finally at peace… again… I think it’s time for me to head back to my own time.

Blaze: And I’m leaving too, guys.

Sonic: May I?

Silver: Sure.

Sonic/Silver: Chaos, control!

(The portal opens)

Blaze: Goodbye, guys.

Silver: So long, my friends.

Knuckles: See you later. Come back whenever you like.

Tails: Bye Blaze, Silver.

Sonic: We’ll miss you!

Omega: Farewell, comrades Silver and Blaze.

Rouge: You’re free to visit anytime.

Shadow: See you around.

Amy: Congrates on becoming a couple. (Giggles)

(Blaze and Silver blush as they jump through the portal.)

Sonic: Whew! Now that was a wild adventure I don’t think anyone would forget.

Tails: You’re right, big bro. Now, I think we have to pay our friends in Knothole a visit.

Sonic: Good idea.

Sally: I’ll show you all the changes that have been made. Come on.

(Tails, Sonic and Sally walk off.)

Sally: Did I tell you Bunnie and Antione are engaged?

Sonic: No! When was this?

Sally: A while ago.

Knuckles: Well, I’d better head back to Angel Island. See ya later. (He glides off.)

Amy: I’m going to visit Cream, Vanilla, Cheese and Chocola. Bye. (She skips away.)

Shadow: Rouge and Omega, I guess it’s back to G.U.N. with us.

Rouge: The commander won’t believe what we’ve been through.

Omega: Especially with you two becoming lovebirds.

Rouge/Shadow: (Embarrassed) Omega!

(Team Dark head off.)

Eggman: Guess I need a break. I wonder what Decoe, Bocoe and Bukkun are up to back home. (He walks off.)

Cutscene 11:

(In the bright future)

Silver: Alright, Blaze… I guess it’s finally goodbye.

Blaze: Until next time, Silver.

Silver: Until next time...

(They kiss before Blaze departs for home with the chaos emeralds)

Blaze: Good luck, Silver. See you around.

Silver: Bye!

Gold: Hey, Silver! Want to go for some icecream?

Silver: Ok! Let’s go!

Gold: Say… remember what I said about Blaze?

Silver: Yes….

Gold: I was wrong. She’s an amazing girl. You’re lucky to have her as a girlfriend.

Silver: W-what? Uh... that was...

Gold: (Giggling)

Cutscene 12:

(In the Sol Dimension)

Blaze: Home at last. (Sighs) Nothing’s changed.

Marine: Blaze! You haven’t taken me to the beach.

Blaze: Oh no! Sorry, Marine. I had something important to do in Sonic’s world.

Marine: What happened down there.

Blaze: Well…. There was this guy called Silver who needed my help and…

Marine: Is he your boyfriend?

Blaze: Uh... (blushing) well...

Marine: Blaze and Silver sitting in a tree…

Blaze: Marine! I haven't told the full story yet...
