This is an idea I came up with while RPing with Oscar. What if, during the time of when Simba was presumed dead, that Nala was betrothed to another cub? Malka, perhaps?

Mufasa, the Lion King updates! As it turns out, there's going to be some new characters in this movie: Adah, Horatio, Elijah, Celia, Kaliban, Cardi, and Zola. We don't know who these characters are, what animals they are or what their purpose is in the movie yet. But I recommend we keep a close eye on them. Even the slightest hint of development for these characters could be fun to expand on in fanwork.
Bit of a spoiler warning: Zack and I have chosen Gordon to be in the Aussie episodes for the IRWS. Here's a test scene I have in mind for that. Madeline: Yay! School is out for the year! Gordon: The year? School ends around August. Madeline: Now why would school end in the middle of the year? That's silly! We start school at the start of the year - January, and end in December. Gordon: That... actually makes a lot of sense. Huh... why don't schools on Sodor do that?
I was thinking back to some posts I've seen on @wildnorwester 's twitter account. The ones specifically involving Arry and Bert. In STMY, Arry and Bert aren't villains, but rather... in a grey area. They often pick up old parts from the Steamworks, and also... drop off new ones. But... where do these new parts actually come from? Why, the Ironworks of course. The old parts the engines no longer needed are melted down and made into new ones. Because the show outright villainised Arry and Bert, we didn't get to see the Ironworks for what it actually was: a recycling factory to help the engines. ("we are all connected in the Great Circle of Life".) Of course, I still like the idea of the Ironworks twins being sinister... but I've also seen a lot of stories that redeemed Bert. And I'm proud to say the SeventyVerse is taking that direction for Bert too. Arry... isn't so lucky, I'm afraid.
